3.5 inch DS/HD 1.44 MB Floppy disks These are the most common and least expensive type of floppy disks. Unless you have a special machine or application, you will be able to use this kind of floppy diskette. 3.5" DS/HD (Double Sided/High Density) disks are usually IBM formatted at 1.44MB. The unformatted size is 2.0 MB. These floppy disks are also known as "high density", 2HD, MF-2HD, or HD micro-floppy disks.

Should I Use Recycled Disks?
Our recycled floppy disks are reformatted and extensively tested in our facility, so we know that the media is good. After the disks pass our stringent quality control analysis, we apply a clean white label over any existing labels. That's why we guarantee them 100%.

Are My Disks High Density Or Low Density?
High Density vs Low Density
DS/HD vs DS/DD
If you can use DS/HD high density disks, you should use them. DS/HD high density diskettes are less expensive and hold more data. Unfortunately, some special machines require the more expensive DS/DD low density disks.
